Cristian Molina Avila

Born in Alicante (Spain), Cristian Molina Avila started his studies at the age of 10 in his hometown with Antonio Ruda and Gonzalo Berná. Later he continued his studies with Jesus Carrasco and Isaac Rodriguez.
After finishing his studies, he was admitted in the University of Music and Arts in Graz Austria, where he was admitted in the class of Bertram Egger, and lately with Klangforum Wien.
In 2022, he was admitted in the class of Alessandro Carbonare in the Accademia Santa Cecilia di Roma.
He has received several scholarships, as Klangforum in Residency in 23/24, and has been accademy member in Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Adda sinfónica and Klangforum Wien. He has been part in festivals as Salzburger Festspiele, Pablo Casals festival, Accademia Chigiana…
As an orchestra member, he has collaborated with orchestras as Orchestra dell‘Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Orchestra Philarmonic Orchestra, Franz Schubert Philarmonie… and also has played in several contemporary ensembles as Klangforum Wien and Schallfeld ensemble.
From September 2025, he joined the Macao Orchestra as Principal Clarinet.
