Wong Ka Wing
Wong Ka Wing: Hong Kong–born flautist Ka Wing Karen Wong is a versatile chamber and orchestral musician, currently serving as Second Flute and Piccolo of the Macao Orchestra. She has gained international recognition as a Britten Pears Young Artist for 2024/25, and was selected as part of the Rising Stars of Woodwind at the 2025 Edinburgh International Festival.
Wong has collaborated with leading orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, The Hallé, Northern Ballet Sinfonia, Scottish Ballet Orchestra, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. A prizewinner in international competitions, Wong received First Prize at the British Flute Society Young Artist Competition (2022) and Second Prize at the Tampere Flute Fest Piccolo Competition (2022). She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, the United States, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, and Taiwan.
She holds Distinction in both the Artist Diploma and the Master of Performance in Orchestral Artistry from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music with First-Class Honours from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
