During this inaugural season when the renowned Casavant Frères organ is installed at the Sé Catedral, a second concert celebrates this “king of musical instruments” with more beloved masterpieces. Chinese pianist and organist Wang Liya—winner of the 2025 ARD International Music Competition, currently pursuing doctoral studies at the Central Conservatory of Music—is already a young virtuoso of keyboard instruments. In addition to solos by Bach and Mozart, she performs two concertos with the Macao Orchestra—one by Handel on the organ, and other Beethoven’s classically minded Piano Concerto No. 2.
