Music-making is the consummate example of collaboration and co-operation conveying a universal language. It also allows young musicians to meet and compete regardless of national boundaries. The triennial Singapore International Violin Competition, open to young virtuosos under 30 and hosted by the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore, testing violinists on their performance skills in solo recitals, chamber music and concertos. We can’t wait to welcome this year’s winner to join the Macao Orchestra in May.
