Carnival of the Animals is a humorous piece composed by French composer Saint-Saëns as a distraction from his more serious work, portraying many animals such as lions, chickens, donkeys and even fossils and pianists. Mother Goose was composed by another French genius, Ravel, as a musical gift for two young siblings of his good friend. Macao Orchestra Assistant Conductor Francis Kan will conduct and shed light on the works, to offer a thorough understanding of these two popular fine works blend elegance and humor.
