Beethoven’s nine symphonies are undoubtedly the supreme treasures of human music art. Following the highlighted presentation of Symphony No. 9 in 2018, we are proud to continue to perform the remaining eight symphonies by Beethoven in several concerts in this season. Symphony No. 2 and Symphony No. 8 presented in this concert are two ‘low-key’ works among the great composer’s symphonies, with a style and temperament different from the ‘heroic Beethoven’ we are familiar with, from which we can appreciate another facet of his music and a different expressional dimension.
