Ravel: Introduction and Allegro
Beethoven: Septet in E-flat Major, Op. 20

French composer Maurice Ravel, master of creating exquisite colours through his perfect orchestration, is represented here by his “Introduction and Allegro” for Harp, Flute, Clarinet and String Quartet of 1905 that was later premiered on the 22nd of February 1907 in Paris. Ludwig von Beethoven’s Septet Op. 20 for Clarinet, Horn, Bassoon, Violin, Viola, ‘Cello and Double Bass, was completed in 1800, published in 1802 and comprises of 6 movements. This musical feast demonstrates the rich diversity of Western chamber music.
