Due to the impact of novel coronavirus pandemic, many performers will not be able to visit Macao. The free admission concert “2019-2020 Season Closing Concert – Beethoven Piano Concertos by Rudolf Buchbinder”  by the Macao Orchestra will be cancelled.

Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 1 in C Major, Op. 15
Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat Major, Op. 73 “Emperor”

The 250th anniversary of the great Beethoven is the core theme of this season, among which the biggest highlight is Beethoven’s ‘Complete Works’ of symphonies and piano concertos. Macao Orchestra will present all five of Beethoven’s piano concertos in two concerts, creating the final climax of this sumptuous season. We are honoured to invite the world’s top pianist Rudolf Buchbinder, a masterful artist whose deep understanding and exquisite interpretation of Beethoven’s work is held as the standard in the international music world. In this ‘marathon’ concert, Buchbinder will take us on a musical journey to retrace Beethoven’s steps in music and life. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind experience!
