Capping the Macao Orchestra’s Mozart tribute is a performance of the composer’s last symphony. His last, the “Jupiter”, uses far more chromaticism and contrapuntal complexity, pointing toward the future. The composer’s final violin concerto, famed for its dramatic tempo changes and the “alla turca” section in the finale, has long been a staple of the violin repertory.
