Pianist Zitong Wang won the Bronze Medal at the 19th International Chopin Piano Competition in 2025, along with the Krystian Zimerman Award for Best Sonata Performance. Chopin’s First Piano Concerto, a landmark of lyricism, beauty and elegance in the annals of music history. And Respighi’s Pines of Rome, a four-movement tone poem, is one of the most descriptive works for orchestra written in the last century, a love token to the ancient trees— from Villa Borghese to the Appian Way—that witnessed the passage of time of this Eternal City.

Due to programme adjustments, the artists for the following two concerts have changed: “A Bright Shining Star – HIMARI” scheduled for 13 June 2026 and the Macao Orchestra 2025–26 Season Closing Concert “Chopin by Rafał Blechacz” scheduled for 25 July 2026. The repertoire and venue remain unchanged for both concerts. The updated concert information is as follows:

Ticket holders for “A Bright Shining Star – HIMARI” or “Chopin by Rafał Blechacz” can use their original tickets to enjoy the new performances, or can choose to process a refund at any Macau Ticketing Network branch during office hours before August 1st by presenting their complete physical tickets.

Tickets for both concerts will be resold at 10:00 AM on 7 May 2026 at Macau Ticketing Website.
