At just 19, British-Chinese violin star Leia Zhu has been hailed as a \u201cmusical prodigy beyond her years\u201d.<\/span>Sibelius\u2019s Violin Concerto was composed in 1903, subsequently revised after a disappointing premiere. Now celebrated as a major work, it contains many iconic characteristics, including its main theme being introduced by the soloist right from the beginning of the first movement and dramatic double stops throughout. Mahler\u2019s Symphony No. 4 bears testament to the composer’s synthesis of symphony with song, the final movement featuring a soprano singing \u201cDas himmlische Leben\u201d (The Heavenly Life), an uplifting portrayal of the afterlife. Mahler once said each of his symphonies is \u201cits own world\u201d, a glorious kingdom in which to immerse ourselves.<\/p>\n

Due to programme adjustments, the artists for the following two concerts have changed: \u201cA Bright Shining Star \u2013 HIMARI\u201d scheduled for 13 June 2026 and the Macao Orchestra 2025\u201326 Season Closing Concert \u201cChopin by Rafa\u0142 Blechacz\u201d scheduled for 25 July 2026. The repertoire and venue remain unchanged for both concerts. The updated concert information is as follows:

\n– Macao Orchestra 2025-26 Season Closing Concert \u201cChopin by Zitong Wang\u201d on 25 July 2026<\/p>\n

Ticket holders for \u201cA Bright Shining Star \u2013 HIMARI\u201d or \u201cChopin by Rafa\u0142 Blechacz\u201d can use their original tickets to enjoy the new performances, or can choose to process a refund at any Macau Ticketing Network branch during office hours before August 1st by presenting their complete physical tickets.<\/p>\n
