Cold, rigid and lonesome, the Nordic sound from Finland is one of a kind in the world of music and Sibelius is undoubtedly its most acclaimed representative. If not for his unique ethnic compositions aimed at the Finnish people, Finland would not be in the map of European music tradition today. This concert features two of his timeless works: symphonic poem Tapiola and Violin Concerto in D minor. Macao Orchestra also invites the elegant yet imposing German-born South Korean violinist Clara Jumi Kang to play solo in a not-to-miss chance for audiences to fully experience the spectacular and distinctive Nordic sentiment and spirit of the composer.<\/p>\n

Tickets will be distributed one hour before the performance at the concert venue. Distribution is limited to a maximum of 2 tickets per person.<\/p>\n
