Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and coordinated by the Macao Orchestra Company, Limited, the concert \u201cLegendary Symphonies\u201d will be held on 15 May (Sunday) at 8pm at Macao Cultural Centre Grand Auditorium. Under the baton of renowned Chinese conductor Huang Yi and in collaboration with the Principal Horn of the Macao Orchestra Wu Tianxia, the Macao Orchestra will perform repertoire of classics by Ludwig van Beethoven and Richard Georg Strauss, presenting a spectacular symphonic concert to the public.<\/p>\n
Conductor Huang Yi, one of the most prominent conductors in China\u2019s classical music scene, is currently the Permanent Conductor of the China Philharmonic Orchestra and the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Kunming Nie Er Symphony Orchestra. He will join hands with the Macao Orchestra to present Beethoven\u2019s Egmont<\/em> and Symphony No. 3<\/em>, both of which are tributes to heroes, conveying a magnificent and strong will through melodious music.
