The Macao Orchestra, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), has decided to cancel the concert \u201cCommemorating the 110th Anniversary of the premi\u00e8re of Mahler\u2019s work: The Song of the Earth \u2013 Macao Orchestra and Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra\u201d, originally scheduled for 20 November, due to the epidemic prevention and control measures in Mainland China and to the fact that some performers will not be able to visit Macao. However, the Macao Orchestra will present the concert \u201cA Night of German and Austrian Serenades\u201d on that day, offering a high quality performance for the public.<\/p>\n
The concert \u201cA Night of German and Austrian Serenades\u201d will be held on 20 November, at 8pm, at the Macao Cultural Centre Grand Auditorium, featuring Brahms\u2019 Serenade No. 1 in D Major for Nonet and Mozart\u2019s Serenade in G Major, K. 525 \u201cEine kleine Nachtmusik\u201d. Both pieces are well-known classics from the German-Austrian classical school of music, reflecting the meticulous musical skills of Brahms and Mozart. Admission to the concert will be processed with free tickets. Seating for the performance is not assigned. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis from 13 to 14 November by registration through the Macao Orchestra\u2019s website at www.icm.gov.mo\/om, \u201cMacaoOrchestra\u201d page on Facebook or the official WeChat \u201cMacaoOrchestra\u201d. <\/p>\n
