The latter\, in “Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini” and “Symphonic Dances”\, deftly used famous melodies of his predecessors and his own to create magnificent masterpieces in a grand structure and with capricious changes. French pianist Lise de la Salle\, an active\, award-winning musician on international music scene since her coming to international attention in 2005\, with a Bach/Liszt recording that Gramophone Magazine selected as “Recording of the Month”\, will perform as the soloist.
