His brilliant career is marked by numerous amazing records: he has helped customise over 18 original contemporary concertos\, premiered over 200 musical pieces of various genres\, released almost 70 records\, received the Swedish royal medal Litteris et Artibus in 2004\, and won ‘Artist of the Year’ in 2016 at the International Classical Music Awards. Macao Orchestra Assistant Conductor Francis Kan will conduct OM to present the two composers’ representative works. Firstly\, Haydn’s Symphony No. 92\, aka the Oxford Symphony – it’s said that the composer travelled to England to conduct it at a ceremony in 1791 in which he was awarded an honorary doctoral degree by Oxford University – followed by Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8\, completed by the composer in a rarely cheerful mood after a trip in 1812.
